Collection: CHILD'S PLAY - GUMNUTS

Imagine warm spring days. The sun is shining. There is a soft wind cooling the dry air. The bush is alive with bird song, rustling leaves, crawling insects. The leaves of the box trees glisten and shine. Twinkling in the sun like a disco ball. Beneath the canopy of gums, bloodwoods and brigalow we sit. Quiet, childish conversation blends into the surrounds adding depth to the bush chatter. We are busy collecting and counting our own little currency of gumnuts. Their odd round shapes intriguing to innocent minds. We fill them up with dirt or leaves or whatever other natural treasures are to be found in the earth beneath us. Here we stay for hours and hours. Lost in our own world. Life is simple, and gumnuts are gold.
